Love that our domestic #tourism offers such amazing holidays! Spent 2 great weeks with my family - from #Zanzibar’s serene beaches to the breathtaking slopes of #Kilimanjaro.
Ps. Much respect to the incredible seaweed women of Zanzibar.💙 #TanzaniaisBeautiful#DomesticTourism
We cannot underestimate the critical role social welfare officers play in supporting #women, #children, & communities at large. Their services are essential to #protection, care, & wellbeing. As we end #SocialWelfareWeek in 🇹🇿 let’s ensure to always prioritize #mentalhealth!
At #SocialWelfareWeek today, Govt, #UNICEF & partners emphasized the vital role of social welfare officers in our communities. With this week’s theme on mental health, (central to their work) their services remain essential in supporting #women, #children & the wider community.
As #SocialWelfareWeek continues, #UNICEF was honoured to welcome the Minister of Community Development, Gender, Women & Special Groups at our booth. She learned how UNICEF supports the Govt. in strengthening social welfare officers to better serve #children & communities.
Live from #SocialWelfareWeek!
We’re at the #UNICEF booth together w/Govt & partners, showcasing our support to Social Welfare Officers from strengthening case management for #children affected by #violence to building capacities in #MHPSS & #ECD.
Visit our booth to learn more!💙
In Songwe, I joined a dialogue with 135+ pupils (grades 5–7) on teen #pregnancy & #childmarriage, facilitated by community development officers. I’m inspired by how much they already know about their rights & protection from #violence! They’re true young ambassadors for change!🌟
I was finally back to work this week after a nice long holiday. There I was in the field multitasking between facilitating a training and babysitting duties!😊

#ForEveryChild💙
This week in Songwe Region, with #UNICEF support, 54 Furaha Teens #parenting facilitators received refresher training on updated pre/post questionnaires & administering them via Kobo; helping to strengthen quality data collection for better results. #Parenting#ChildProtection
As #UNICEF, I was proud to join Govt & other key partners in #Dodoma to advance online #child safety in🇹🇿. In an increasingly digital world, every child deserves a safe, inclusive & empowering online environment. Let’s work together to make that a reality. #ChildOnlineSafety
Felt like being back in university again! Took part in an 8-day course on Social & Behaviour Change for Climate Action by NYU, MUHAS & #UNICEF 🇹🇿.
Packed with lectures, teamwork & rich insights. I loved the learning & look fwd to applying it in my work.

“These days, my father walks me to school, helps with homework, and listens to me. I can talk to him about anything.” – Sandra, 12
Aloyce, Sandra’s father, didn’t always know how to be a present dad. But he found the tools to reconnect through the #FurahaTeens Programme, supported by @UNICEF🇹🇿 and @GAC_Corporate.
This #FathersDay 👨🏾 we celebrate the dads who choose to be there, #ForEveryChild💙
Social Welfare Officers (SWOs) play a vital role in our communities. In Dodoma, new SWOs were trained to prevent & respond to #violence against #children, part of efforts to strengthen 🇹🇿’s child protection system. W/support from @UNICEFTanzania, @TAMISEMI_Tz & @maendeleoyajami
The cases of #sexual violence & #abuse shared by the Social Welfare Officers were truly heartbreaking. It was really difficult to listen to, but it was a powerful reminder of the urgent need for action. We all have a role to play in ending #violence in our homes & communities.
