@missmayn The folks that require those are the same sorts of folks responsible for injecting their politics into every plot line and otherwise ruining the quality of films.
@follard These projections always rely on the homeowner to *stay all 30 years and eventually pay it off*. Most homeowners do not make it 20 years in before selling... Easy way to remain in a cycle of debt to roll over half of the mortage principle to the new loan each time...
@CHRISF0GLE alcohol is a gaba stimulator. You should supplement aminos that target gaba such as taurine. Dirt cheap and will take the edge off, at minimum.
@GrandNagus_@MeganNyvold That mindset is a good way to stay underwater on it. Should buy less of a car if you cant finance for a short term or buy outright.
Ask yourself what double the life you currently lead looks like in material terms. Would obtaining a second home double your life experience? I doubt it. A new car? Maybe, if you dont have one. An extra vacation? Would be nice, but double? If you define what doubles your life you can better measure how much progress a 20% raise makes towards your double.
That "if" is doing infinite lifting. Some people are not responsible enough to use them, but everyone should make the effort to get there. The goal is to never never never pay *any* interest. If youve paid any you've lost the game and it's a massive struggle (with only as little as 10k) to climb out of.
Nothing out of pocket about this take. Capitalism is fundamentally a materialist optimization scheme, nothing more nothing less. Any alignment that seeks to do more for instance elevate the civility, culture and soul of a nation works in opposition to this goal to be a slave to capital. Capital and the economy should only be considered a tool, not a contract that must be followed/obeyed.
