Paper money was never supposed to be the money.

It was a receipt.

You deposited gold at a bank.

"The bearer of this note may redeem it for X amount of gold."

That's all a dollar was. A claim ticket.

The paper had no value.
The gold in the vault did.
The paper just made it easier to carry.

This system worked for centuries.
Every major currency was backed this way.
The British pound.
The French franc.
The U.S. dollar.

Then, slowly, governments realized something:

If people trust the paper,
they never come for the gold.
So they printed more notes than they had gold.
Then more.
Then more.

When too many people asked questions,
they closed the gold window.

That was supposed to be temporary.

55 years later, the dollar is still backed by nothing
but trust. And that trust has cost you 97% of your purchasing power.

The receipt became the money.
Global money became trust-based.

And money became nothing but a promise
that nobody has to keep.

Good morning X,

Wanted to share something with you.
I went outside the hotel last night to have a smoke. Stepped almost to the street because uh, “smoking is bad,” but anyways…

I was scrolling on my phone, minding my own business, when this guy walks up—definitely down on his luck like so many others here in California. You could see it in his eyes, his clothes, the way he carried himself. Life had been rough on him for a while.

He asked me for a smoke. I gave him one. No hesitation.

Then we just… started talking. Not small talk. Real talk.

He brought up Jesus. Out of nowhere. Asked if I knew Him. Told me how Jesus changed his life even when everything else fell apart. How grace found him in the lowest spots when nobody else would.

I stood there listening, cigarette burning down, phone forgotten in my hand. This man—who most people would walk right past—looked me dead in the eye and said, “Brother, Jesus loves you right where you are. Doesn’t matter what you’ve done or where you’ve been. He’s still knocking.”

We talked for maybe ten minutes. Maybe longer. Time didn’t matter. He prayed for me right there on the sidewalk. Short, simple, powerful. I prayed for him too.

Then he hugged me—quick, but real—and said, “Stay blessed, man.” Walked off into the night before I could even offer to help him. Gone in the blink of an eye.

I stood there a minute longer, finishing that smoke, thinking about how God uses the least likely people to remind you He’s still moving.

Sometimes the biggest sermons don’t come from pulpits.

They come from strangers on the street who’ve got nothing left to lose… except their faith.

And that faith? Still stronger than whatever broke them.

Grateful for the reminder. Grateful for the smoke break that turned into something way better. 🙏

An Open Letter to the President of the United States From the Trenches of the Fifth Generation War - January 27th 2026

President Donald J. Trump,

History records that republics do not usually fall from invasion alone, but from hesitation, from rot concealed by ceremony, and from men who waited too long to act while believing time itself would be merciful.

You already know what the people need most.

They need you to act.

Not for applause.
Not for legacy.
Not for politics.

But for the survival of the Republic.

I cannot imagine the weight you carry, the burden not only of America, but of a world still ordered by her strength. History has never been kind to men asked to decide between stability and justice, between patience and resolve. Yet every generation is eventually judged not by the dangers it faced, but by whether its leaders met the hour.

George Washington warned us plainly in his Farewell Address that “the spirit of encroachment tends to consolidate the powers of all the departments in one.” He understood that tyranny rarely announces itself, it advances under the language of order, expertise, and protection. That danger is not theoretical today. It is present, organized, and patient.

Gatekeepers now surround the presidency, shielding you from full intelligence under the pretense of stewardship, delaying action not for prudence, but for preservation of their own power. Some do so out of cowardice. Others for darker reasons. History shows us this pattern repeatedly: Caesar had his Senate, Lincoln his saboteurs, Kennedy his shadows.

I trust you, sir. But trust does not negate truth.

This is not to be missed. When I heard Trump say “your expectations are not big enough” I immediately sat up in my chair. Trump's thinking here shows exactly why he’s the unbridled success he is. It’s all “mindset and an understanding of the American birthright” with Trump.
