Had a call with @kokochidozie yesterday about the ad accounts I currently run.
She broke down the ads, pointed out things I’d completely overlooked, and gave me the next steps.
Honestly, she knows her stuff. If you ever need a pro media buyer to review your ads, she’s the one.
My personal experience on this 👇
After I got my admission to Germany 🇩🇪 in 2020, my girlfriend (now wife) was very skeptical about when I would come back for her.
Her concerns were valid, her environment was filled with stories of women who hadn’t seen their husbands for years after they traveled abroad.
To be honest, even I didn’t fully know how the future would play out. All I had was my full commitment to her, despite the distance.
We prayed about it and agreed to continue with a long distance relationship. The plan was: maybe when I start a PhD, I’d come back, marry her, and take her along. We also started exploring other options like Canada Express Entry along the way etc.
But life had a better plan.
During my MSc, I got an international job offer from the Netherlands 🇳🇱. In the HR email, they asked me to send the passport details of my wife so they could process her visa to the Netherlands 🇳🇱.
I was shocked 😳
I replied immediately to confirm. I told them I wasn’t married yet, but asked:
“Do you mean if I’m married, you can sponsor my wife, even if she’s in Nigeria?”
They said yes.
Omo… I can’t explain the joy I felt that day 😭
That same day, I started planning my wedding 😂
I resumed work in September, traveled to Nigeria in November to marry my babe, and by February, my employer had processed everything and she joined me abroad.
Just like that.
So yeah… I guess we were lucky. But more than luck, I’d say it was faith, timing, and commitment aligning perfectly.
@AbdullahOLawal@Daevee007 That’s the way it’s done. In most cases you just push the winning ad to the scaling campaign using post id’s rather than duplicating.
Meta media buyers, LOOK OUT 👀
If you go to EDIT an ad, even just to look at an ad's setting without changing anything, the system automatically adds Related Media.
It won't publish automatically, buuuut, it will queue to publish the next time you publish other changes. Super sneaky.
So this means, new ads and duplicated ads will be impacted too. If you're moving quickly and not expecting it, you'll completely miss it.
I've seen this in a few accounts and heard about it a bunch.
How to prevent/avoid for now:
If you see the green Publish button light up in the bottom right of your edit screen, make sure to smash the DISCARD button before moving on.
Before hitting the blue review and publish, always check the number of things being published and make sure it adds up to what you changed. Double check other ads aren't being updated unintentionally.
Please make noise about this issue. This is NOT ok. Tell your Meta rep, chat support, make sure they know this is NOT OK
@albabe10@herrmanndigital Yh, this usually happens if the ad being duplicated is still in draft. If it’s active it should be fine. Noticed same thing as well. It’s been a mess lately. Only duplicate the active ads.
In 1986, the American Medical Association published an article titled "The Physical Death of Jesus Christ". It details the entire process of Jesus' trial to His death on the cross.
In Luke 22, before Jesus is arrested, it is written that He was in great distress & sweating blood. Although rare, it is recognized as Hematidrosis, a condition caused by high levels of stress.
At the time, the crucifixion was considered the worst death for the worst of criminals. But this is not all Jesus faced. He endured whipping so severe that it tore the flesh from His body. He was beaten so horribly that His face was torn & His beard ripped.
A crown of thorns, 2-3 inches long cut deeply into His scalp. The leather whip used to flog Him had tiny iron balls & sharp bones. The balls caused internal injuries while the sharp bones ripped open His flesh. His skeletal muscles, veins, & bowels are exposed, causing major blood loss. Most men do not survive this kind of torture. After Jesus was severely flogged, He was forced to carry His cross while people mocked & spat on Him.
Crucifixion was a process meant to instill excruciating pain, creating a slow & agonizing death. Nails as long as 8 inches were driven into Jesus' wrists & feet. The Roman soldiers knew the tendons in the wrists would tear & break, forcing Jesus to use His back muscles to support Himself to breathe. Imagine the struggle, the pain, the courage...Jesus endured this reality for 3 hours!
The Gospel of John writes that after Jesus' death, a Roman soldier pierced His side with a spear & blood & water came out. Scientists explain that from hypovolemic shock, the rapid heart rate causes fluid to gather in the sack around the lungs & heart. The accumulation of fluid in the membrane around the heart is called a Pericardial effusion & the lungs is called a pleural effusion.
To the world, Christianity is as foolish as it can get. They believe it's for the weak. But when you are confronted by the reality of the cross, it's clearly not a pretty sight. It is brutal & horrific.
This is the weight Jesus carried. The weight of the sins of the world, all so that we can live. God's wrath is fully satisfied in Jesus. This is what it took. Repent & believe! Jesus is “God among us” in the flesh. Jesus is our Savior. Jesus loves you so much that He went through this spiritual and physical punishment for your sins and mine.
Jesus is the LORD, Almighty God, Everlasting Father.
Thank You, Jesus.
We’ve just rolled out four powerful new features in Pewbeam:
- Hands-free voice control, so speakers can switch Bible translations and move to the next verse without the operator clicking. (You can turn this off in Settings.)
- Automatic HDMI display scaling, so the external display now adjusts itself to match your screen size.
- Verse merging, letting you show multiple verses together on one slide.
- Verse splitting, so when a verse is longer than the screen, it automatically continues on a new slide.
- Plus, overall performance and speed are now better.
