@cedjoex3@DenisL_1981 Looked great on national TV anyways. Whether it's 6000 or 7000 it's loud in there every night and worth the price of admission. Go cats go!
@Jasonwh83026510@NHLFoley Bleyl played the 2nd most minutes of any player for either team in game 1, 54 minutes in total in a game that went to quadruple OT, and featured virtually no special teams. It is not correct to say he plays protected minutes.

@LHJMQ
@farmdog1312@schaeffer100@NHLRankKing Who? Name who you are talking about. In the top 10 scorers last season 9 of them is either returned to the Q this season (3 1st round NHL picks) or were 20 year olds and graduated to NCAA or pro hockey. Same with scorers from 10-20.
@farmdog1312@schaeffer100@NHLRankKing When I'm referring to losing a player, I'm talking about since the NCAA changes. We lost Poirier, which sucks...but gained so many other quality players who would have never played in the Q in previous seasons.
@farmdog1312@schaeffer100@NHLRankKing That happens every year in junior. Almost everyone that you are referring to graduated to the AHL or aged out due to being 20. We also have Russians back in the league which we didn't have the last few years. Your argument doesn't have sufficient evidence. Anything else?
@farmdog1312@schaeffer100@NHLRankKing "the competition level is the worst its ever been". I'm not saying the Q is better than the OHL or WHL. I'm responding to his specific point about the QMJHL. The QMJHL lost one star player and gained 20-30 quality ones. Bleyl is proof that the league is not the worst its been.
@schaeffer100@NHLRankKing That's not true at all, the Q has benefitted heavily due to the NCAA rules. They gained tons of new players and really only lost Justin Poirier while the W and O lost a lot more high quality players.
@BoudScout I just don't really buy it. The league was full of goons not that long ago and there was still a narrative around favouritism for OHL and WHL players, I don't see it as something that's really changed and fighting in higher quantities won't change it either
