Outfielders will rarely have to cut and pivot in games, like last year’s American League MVP does in this three-ball drill. But they will always need the type of athleticism and footwork (especially on their first step) that this drill develops. #STdrills
Short drills for outfielders promote footwork and athleticism. Technique can be perfected when isolated in a controlled environment like this, and then later take over when going after a live batted ball. #STdrills
This move is very consistent with the best.

PSA: THIS IS IN REGARDS TO YOUTH KIDS AND KIDS STARTING OUT. The older and stronger they get, the more they will understand how to use their back side better.
I’ve been doing this for a while now and already know the response I’m going to get on this video. However, if you work with many young kids you understand you HAVE to keep it simple.
I know there’s more to producing power and hitting than just turning the back foot but again, help a young kid understand simple movements and as they grow, we will adapt on their own.
An awesome story about Bryce Harper’s youth hitting development 🔥👇🏼
