Media Assistant (Videography)📹 - Men’s First Team

Wellingborough Town Football Club are looking for a Media Assistant to join our growing media team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone local with a passion for football and/or content creation to get involved with a progressive, non-league club.

We’re looking for someone with some experience with videography and experience editing videos. During the season, you will need to be available for men’s first team matchdays (Saturday afternoons) with the occasional training session (Tuesday or Thursday) and any special club events.

Today’s game marks Assistant Manager Jake Cayton’s 250th fixture with the club!

The gaffer had his say on his assistant’s time with the club:

“Cayton’s commitment to me and this club is massive and probably underestimated. From the early days, after a horror injury cut short his playing career, he put in the work as young coach with the reserves and built his way back into the game. From the moment I asked him to step up and support me, he’s been phenomenal.

He’s been a constant support and a huge reason for the continued success of this club. His title may be Assistant Manager, but he is far more than that , he’s an essential part of the club’s structure on and off the pitch. There is no way I could manage this football club without him.

250 games is no small achievement. Yes, I’m biased because he’s one of my closest friends, but WTFC and I are lucky to have him. Here’s to 250 more, JC!”

Fans vs Dementia

Dementia is a progressive condition that affects memory, thinking and behaviour. Reasearch shows there are more than 944,000 people in the UK who have dementia. 1 in 11 people over the age of 65 have dementia in the UK.

On Saturday 28th March, some of our Wellingborough Town FC youth coaches are raising money to support families living with dementia.

They’ll be walking from Northampton Town Football Club’s Sixfield stadium, 12.5 miles to the Dog & Duck, home of the Doughboys.

Below is a link to the fundraising page for Dementia UK. We’d be extremely grateful to anyone who can support this cause by donating as little or as much as possible. Every penny counts.
