@hansenjames Terrible reverse psychology. If he becomes that in Chicago, congratulations. However, you also don’t want to take him and at 4, Boozer becomes Minnesota Kevin Love or DP becomes Kobe. The latter is more realistic than the former.
@esidery Unfortunately, this is a realistic scenario. I’d want more for Ja, but this trade saves Memphis 25 million and creates another TPE. I’d want Sharpe as well tho. That would be similar to the Trae to Washington deal.
Stretching that 8 million over 3 seasons is roughly 2.7 million per year. As of now, that’ll get them under the 1st apron by about 4 million with 11 players. It’ll be interested see how they fill out the remainder of the roster.
The Orlando Magic are expected to waive Jonathan Isaac, per @SeanDeveney
“He would make good potential trade ballast, but the Magic are facing a cash crunch with Paolo Banchero’s extension kicking in. The expectation is that the Magic will waive Isaac and stretch his $8 million cap hit. Trading him would cost Orlando cap flexibility.”
