Just a heads up: the tv adaptation of @Joelarcanjo's Crookhaven starts on Sunday on BBC. The books are superb (& I believe parts were filmed in Northern Ireland) so it'll be well worth your time - I can't wait to watch it with my daughter! #BBC #Crookhaven #TV #WritingCommunity

@Joelarcanjo @Booktrust So thank you for Crookhaven - despite being outside the target audience, it encouraged me to make my own world. Hopefully some day I can take my kids into a bookshop, show them my book and yours, and explain the link between them!

@Joelarcanjo @Booktrust I wrote a story for 10 year old me, something I would have loved. A friend convinced me to enter the first chapters in the Faber Action Prize, aimed at finding books that might appeal to boys. Surprisingly, I came 2nd, &got a publishing deal. Hopefully it'll be out in 2027! 2/3
