🧵 PIXELS ECONOMY BREAKDOWN 🧵

1) CHAPTER 1 🪵

• At the end of Chapter 1, the main economic value came from the scarcity of land resources. Trees, grills, and wineries were the first items to be single-use and became limited, which brought value to their resources.
• Energy prices were capped at 20 coins per energy due to energy drinks, which provided 50 energy and were sold for 1,000 coins.
• Bots were spamming the task board and burning many resources for $PIXEL, making it easy to sell items for coins, but also leading to coin inflation.

2) CHAPTER 2 START 🍷

• The Chapter 2 changes made it cheaper to produce low-tier crops, leading to very efficient wine crafting. Many players exploited this with multi-accounting, causing the economy to be flooded with infinite energy.
• When energy has no value, the items produced using it also lose their value. This problem is intensified when bots multiply production.
• As a result, all items were dropping to 1 coin.

3) POST WINERY NERF 🪙

• The infinite energy loop was removed from the game.
• At the same time, most $PIXEL tasks were moved to high-level players.
• As a result, bots and multi-accounts can no longer extract $PIXEL, leading to overall reduced task board activity.
• The task board burns items and generates coins; increased use causes coin inflation.
• Reduced task board activity has the opposite effect, leading to deflation (coins become more valuable).
• However, it seems that bots are now farming items, creating an oversupply, dumping those items on the market, and gathering coins, which are in high demand due to deflation.
• Because XP is needed for the task board, players burn energy and craft at a loss to level up.
• With infinite energy gone, players can only use passive energy sources (regeneration, bed, sauna).
• Since energy is now the limiting factor, most players wanting to progress further need to buy coins OTC or buy VIP and resell those for coins.

4) WHAT'S NEXT? 💎

• When it comes to the $PIXEL distribution through the task board, we seem to be in a good spot (real players have replaced multi-account users in earning, and there is a cost of time and coins to level up).
• However, as the system gets optimized by the player base, we will need to see what adjustments will be made to the reward distribution.

• When it comes to coins, currently, low-level/F2P players compete with bots and multi-accounts, putting them at a heavy disadvantage when relying on passive energy regeneration.
• Returning to Chapter 1 mechanics, where land resources matter, could be a good solution to bring value back to real players.
• This would mean increasing the scarcity of land resources (longer cooldowns, less production output, higher task board burn for T3/T4).
• Real players can get land access through guild shards, which shouldn't be an option for bots. Additionally, there won't be enough public lands for bots.

• Another topic to address is the flow of $PIXEL back into the in-game economy.
• Buying coins with $PIXEL is very risky because it creates a massive inflation loop.
• Therefore, I would prefer an option to buy energy with $PIXEL instead. This has the potential to lower energy prices and make it more accessible for newer players to keep playing beyond passive regeneration.
