The Energy Department's own lawyer put this in writing. Two hundred eighty-three of the two hundred eighty-four grants Trump's administration canceled last October hit states that voted for Harris and have two Democratic senators. Not most of them. Two hundred eighty-three out of two hundred eighty-four. The filing states plainly that none of the cancellations were based on any programmatic, statutory, cost reduction, or performance factor.

Energy Secretary Chris Wright told Congress under oath in June that no decisions were made on politics. This filing says otherwise, in the department's own words, filed by the department's own lawyer. Grid upgrades in California and Oregon. Methane leak reduction in Colorado. Clean hydrogen hubs in the Pacific Northwest. All halted, while grants recommended for cancellation in Republican won states were left untouched.

Russell Vought's own social media post announcing the cuts called it Green New Scam funding fueling the Left's climate agenda, which is a fairly direct confession dressed up as a press release. This isn't Vought's first time conceding this in court either. The Energy Department already admitted in two prior cases that politics was a primary reason for cancellations, and a federal judge ruled those cancellations improper. What's different this time is the scope and the specificity, a documented, near total partisan pattern, acknowledged in writing to avoid a discovery process that might have surfaced even more.

Required voter-verified paper ballots, cybersecurity standards for voting systems, domestic manufacturing of equipment, and grants for upgrades and audits. This would have secured federal elections by creating a paper trail for every vote, reducing cyber risks.

Would have restored and updated the Voting Rights Act preclearance formula so certain jurisdictions would need federal approval before changing voting rules. This would have secured federal elections by blocking discriminatory voting changes before they take effect.

ALL of these Democratic proposals would have provided better security, better standards, and better oversight over federal elections.

Absent from these Democratic proposals is the "voter ID" measure, but LITERALLY EVERY STUDY has proven there is NO NATIONWIDE VOTER FRAUD — by immigrants, non-citizens, or anyone else.
