ROOKIE SPOTLIGHT: The Washington Mystics head into the new week with the longest active winning streak in the WNBA, a run that has helped propel them into the top five in the standings. Rookie Cotie McMahon has played an important role in that success.

McMahon has provided a spark off the bench, averaging (9.3) points, (3.4) rebounds, 2 assists, and (1.3) steals + blocks per game during Washington’s winning streak. She finished with 7 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists in a one-point win over Las Vegas, followed that up with 11 points and 2 assists in an eight-point victory over Connecticut, and has now scored in double figures in each of Washington’s last three wins, including a season-high 18 points in the Mystics’ 20-point comeback victory over Dallas.

A fun stat? Washington is now (5-0) this season when McMahon scores at least 10 points. Her latest came today, when she scored 13 points in just 19 minutes in a win over Phoenix. ✨
