Hey, @ShadowTodd! Random question - you once said in a vid that you thought Bruce Johnston was at best the fifth best songwriter in The Beach Boys. Do you have a full personal ranking of the band members as writers?
@ReviewofDeath It was everything I hope for from Doctor Who. Creepy and psychological, it was superbly acted and featured wonderful character moments responding to Chibnall era events that were desperately needed. DW is back. 10/10
@HermanSonofHerm If you think trans people don’t face a legitimate threat of violence I’m afraid you’re more delusional than any trans person you imagine. That combined with your unwillingness to answer questions directly demonstrate an unwillingness to engage honestly. It betrays your stupidity.
@HermanSonofHerm@norwalkiian@TheKernWallace@jbouie@k_calumet How tolerant. I’m sure no other trans hating person would argue otherwise? Knowles’ words are at best problematically vague and at worst inciting. And your emotional need to refer to all trans people as “men who hate themselves” suggests you’re unable to be objective.
@Rec_A_Dork@itsamike And if you’ve ever seen the frequency and quality of some fan interactions on Twitter alone, you can understand why someone might need to set some boundaries.
@_JellyBabyDW_ @TharriesYT I can see that intent, but the Doctor betraying a longstanding principle against guns feels like it should be explored further than a brief “shit got real”. Is she in the right? Does it come back to bite her? Unexplored. Cool if it works for you but I maintain the point has merit
@_JellyBabyDW_ @TharriesYT No, not every gun literally needs to be fired. The point is economy in storytelling. The writer makes a big deal of the Doctor giving Yaz a gun. The ramifications for the Doctor are left unexplored, and Yaz does nothing particular with the gun. If it were cut we’d lose nothing.
@_JellyBabyDW_ @TharriesYT Not a reach at all. The weapon in LOTD was the macguffin sought by the Master. It was set up and built up. In the end, it was a red herring, the real threat revealed to be the archangel network.
Chibnall didn’t subvert the trope or use it as a red herring. It simply did nothing.
