@TonyMetroMLB I wish the media would decide how I am supposed to think the Mets front office feels about Lindor. On one hand they traded Nimmo and McNeil and let Alonso go on Lindor’s behalf. Now Lindor has to go because he doesn’t get along with Soto. Why did we get rid of the others?
@metsnewsletter Not sure if the return in Semian is any better at this point. I would have preferred a young player or two, but then again, Semian may have been the best out there that the Mets could have recieved.
@metsnewsletter Way too much, way too long for the type of player he was, especially now that he is aging. The Mets saw his peak, the best Nimmo had to offer. Better now than when he breaks down. He had to go if the Mets were going to ever improve in the outfield. Cold, but necessary.
@TheWardyNYM@mikemayer22@JacobPiccini Not sure he is a “top prospect” anymore. He can’t get anyone out in triple-A for almost a year now. Tong, and McLean have passed him on the rankings.
@DarrenJMeenan The black jerseys need to go. I just think “Armando Benitez” whenever I see them. These are weird pullovers with a faux button collar. The Mets can do better.
@AnthonyDiComo I said that going into the offseason. And especially with the old plan to move Vientos to first. If Stearns was so confident that Vientos was the future at first base, sign him through his arbitration years and then some. Make sure what happened with Alonso doesn’t happen to him.
@CMacWFAN Another issue is that, in years past, the Yankees have been a dumping ground for unwanted contracts. I don’t think Cashman wants to see that continue.
@CMacWFAN I think the money and years are holding the Yankees back. And I think that despite his decline the Cards think they can find some team out there that still believes in him and would offer prospects with minimum financial support.
@DannyAbriano@SteinyTakes I agree. Although Vientos is not a great 3rd baseman he can hold his own thanks to a strong arm, which would be minimized at 1st base. Vientos needs to improve his hands and his footwork. Those problems will likely follow him to 1st base.
