High school athletes and non-athletes have similar amounts of sleep (spoiler: neither is enough!). Athletes averaged a bit more sleep than non-athletes but it was clear sleep needs to be emphasized all around. Especially at such a developmental age. https://t.co/SFwLOgpnCn
A quick safety reminder to be careful with supplements if any medications are also being taken. While older/Masters athletes are most likely to be impacted, don't assume that because someone is young they don't have any medications. Better to be safe!

Don't underestimate the value of peace and quiet especially when trying to sleep. Even small noises can be enough to interrupt sleep cycles without fully being woken up. Take care of you and your athlete's sleep environment.
