@ALuckhurst5433@LynnGillis05210 I love this, teams and fans create their moments and culture. It's not a competition! As an avid USMNT and EPL fan, if watching the 3 Lions sing this doesn't give you goosebumps, you just don't get the World Cup!
@RasmusJarlov@dibblydibbly@OverEHill The Brits named it soccer in the 1880's not us. Those crazy University kids and all their nicknames started talking about playing "footy" and then slowly became known as football interchangeably with soccer. So yeah, don't blame us
@LeahRay44 I can only speak for the part of the country I was raised - the South - you just learned it at home and it was reinforced everywhere in your life. Yes ma'am, no sir, open doors for ladies, when an adult speaks to you respond with respect. Just how many of us were raised.
@SteveLovesAmmo My thought he was he might be a sacrificial nomination. Let the Dems have a win, let GOP is purple districts have a win... "OK you won, now confirm everyone else".
@NathanLands@farzyness I think is really difficult to compare Japan and the US due in large part to the wildly different cultures and demographics. I lived there for 3 years when I was young, and you're observations are pretty spot on. With few exceptions, Japanese are unfailingly polite.
@Varneyco only 16 mens and 12 womens soccer/football teams qualify for the Olympics, with 18 players, so only about 500 total. With the World Cup expanding to 48 (at 26 per) teams, there will be over 1200 at the men's World Cup alone!
