@IOHK_Charles It works in the weaker areas, but the stronger areas snuff out all light entirely except moonlight from the moonlanterns/pixies. It’s kind of Shar merging parts of the shadowfell into the material plane, and planar fuckery in dnd always affects even very high level magic.

It’s prime time to provide more clarity to misinformation that has been spread around Butane.

1. My team has never left. In fact, we’ve been iterating, modelling and implementing our next release, Butane V2.

2. Team allocation remains unminted, unsold. Only tokens for LP from the team allocation are in circulation.,

3. Butane protocol is live. It’s been used and has a modest TVL. Our active initiative is on enabling more robust & autonomous synthetic markets.,

Here’s what we’ve been working on lately:
- Offchain & SDK for V2,
- Prop testing & minor formal verification by external team,
- Working on integrations (use other apps inside butane),
- Feature design for V2 is complete,

I appreciate everyone who has stuck with butane, and also I appreciate those who at least keep their negative feedback to truthful statements.

Announcing our Smart Contract Release & Bug Bounty Program 🎯

We're excited to make our smart contracts source-available and invite the Cardano developer community to help audit our code before deployment. Security is our top priority, and we want your help to make Butane as robust as possible.

⚙️ Structure:

- The total bounty pool is 50,000 ADA, broken down into Critical, Major, Medium, and Minor findings.

- Everything within the butane-contracts public repo is in scope, auxiliary services (e.g. oracles, Blaze) are out of scope.

- All findings will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis.

🔍 What we're looking for:

- Critical (15,000 ADA): Issues which pose a substantial financial risk to multiple users, e.g. theft of funds, unauthorized minting, permanent freezing.

- Major (7000 ADA): Issues which pose moderate financial risks to individual users, e.g. front-running

🔍 What we're looking for:

- Medium (3000 ADA): Issues which can affect normal protocol operations but do not necessarily provoke financial risk, e.g. denial-of-service

- Minor (1000 ADA): Issues which don’t have immediately obvious risks but otherwise affect protocol security

📨 How to Submit:

Email your findings to [email protected]

Include:
- Description of a previously-unknown, non-public vulnerability
- Sufficient reproduction steps
- Suggested fixes
- Your Discord/Telegram handle

🔒 Responsible Disclosure:

Please keep all findings confidential until we've had the chance to review and fix any issues. We'll work with you on coordinated disclosure after fixes are deployed. Non-Confidentiality will result in disqualification from the relevant reward.
