Your "what-if scenarios" are pointless conjecture. You can watch the tapes and see Dreamer's impact on just about every weekly show. 911 was hot for a few weeks as a monster run-in guy, but was quickly exposed for his inability to wrestle. Paul E tells a great story about that situation actually!

Dreamer as the "Innovator of Violence" helped define the product, getting some of the biggest (if not the biggest) pops on a weekly basis. Heart and soul of ECW for both his in and out of ring work. Can't compare a guy with 2-3 years to legends with decades of experience. 95-97 was more important than Douglas and on par with RVD and Taz.

@FapshotsOnSky Dreamer had white hot support as the ultimate passionate everyman for years; watch the shows, it's not really arguable. Those who actually watched the product understand the significance of Dreamer's role in ECW both in and out of the ring.
