@ajlamesa@codyat@williamezzell Can this not be solved by just adding larger buses and/or higher frequencies? It’s really not that big of an issue compared to all the other infra priorities
Legitimate question: what % of international departing/arriving passengers are actually parking a car at airport parking? I have to imagine it’s like maybe 5% at most.
Also, if the main issue is that the bus to domestic is slow and crowded, it’s much easier to just improve frequencies and add larger buses than to build an entire rail extension.
@PerrySolem lol there is an Atlanta-based 992 Turbo S for sale on @carsandbids right now, and its Montana plates sparked a lively debate in the comments section
@codyat@ajlamesa@williamezzell Valid. International terminal pickup area is a huge mess. You can’t even get cell service down there, which makes it literally impossible to call an uber. FWIW, if I were in your position, I probably would have just hopped in a taxi
Of all the potential infrastructure improvements to Atlanta/the airport, this seems pretty low priority. Very few travelers have to check in at the international terminal, and I guarantee that 99% of those who do are not taking Marta. And for the 1% who do, the 15 mins shuttle bus works fine.
Yup. The retail directly adjacent to Staplehouse seems to be doing fine too with a new seafood restaurant opening in the former Biggerstaff space soon.
Now we just need the office project that Asana redeveloped to find a tenant. Beautiful space that has been empty since completion

100%. West of Glen Iris is practically a different planet. I notice it in my corner of Edgewood Ave: just one block west of the trail is night and day. Although with lots of housing, destinations like Staplehouse, and improved bike infrastructure, these blocks are improving a lot.
