if aliens landed on the earth tomorrow, and you had to pick one person to represent humanity, it would be:
1. Elon Musk
2. Bill Gates
3. Jeff Bezos
4. Mark Zuckerberg
this lady brought one of them little white shaggy dogs with the eye crustys to Cheesecake Factory, y’all know which one I’m talking about, and fed it her pasta in a baby carriage it was wild.
-achieving greatness takes large personal sacrifices, pain, and a lot of emerald money coming from daddy
-none of this is just chance or luck it is an extremely large amount of emerald sales by daddy
No spoilers but I finished Walter Isaacson’s book on Elon Musk over the weekend, some high level takeaways:
- achieving greatness takes large personal sacrifices, pain, & a lot of time
- none of this is just ‘chance’ or ‘luck,’ it is extremely hard work
- he works in sprints, rapid iteration, testing, shipping products ASAP, gathering feedback, until proper or acceptable execution is achieved (on repeat)
- he is obsessive & fast, needs to immediately prove/disprove a hypothesis/idea by getting to work
- he constantly proves himself by ‘doing’, not ‘saying he’ll do things’
- rarely he’ll take ‘no’ for an answer when he knows something is solvable
- *focus*
- building meaningful long term relationships & trusted support systems help keep you in check & open doors
- sleep deprivation will make you impulsively/irrationally buy things
- he is probably the closest we have to proving ‘genius’ might exist in modern day
