@JakeBroer@marinemom34@spittinchiclets He wasn’t fired. He was “relieved of his duties” which is most cases means the same thing but in this case it allows Vegas to still control his employment because he’s still under contract with them. Essentially they’re paying him to not work, but to also not work for others.
@sausagehobbit Their breakout seems to be have the forwards get as far away as possible and then try to hit them over two lines. Anaheim pressures way too much for that to work but they haven’t made an adjustment and it’s killing them (and me)!
I really fucking hate this trend with this hockey team where they get the lead and sit back. You can literally see where they stop playing after the 4th goal.
@pug_mahone81@Styles1__@JasonGregor Studies show it’s an good system if it’s funded properly to work. Overcrowding and underfunding make it much more difficult though. Hell of a lot easier to say “we’re inclusive” and cut all the extras than it is to actually BE inclusive, though.
@pug_mahone81@Styles1__@JasonGregor You may not, but our education system does. This is why almost all specialized classes no longer exist. No EAL classes, no Special Ed classes, no gifted classes.
@DerekMackey13@JasonGregor Not at all. You wouldn’t have to add a teacher to every room, just in situations where the complexity goes over ratio. These targets are fairly tame and if one class goes over ratio, you could hire one teacher to follow that class throughout the day.
@Styles1__@JasonGregor Children who are coded as gifted have been tested and shown to have higher IQ or advanced processing compared to their peers. They require extra programming beyond the regular curriculum to promote engagement. G&T kids who don’t can lose interest and struggle to complete work.
@pug_mahone81@Styles1__@JasonGregor Inclusive education doesn’t allow this because it can lead to situations where the gifted student feels othered by being in a different class than their peers. Can lead to bullying and such.
You know what this government HAS made more expensive, mostly through removal of rate caps?
Electricity. Natural gas. Insurance.
You wonder why your money doesn’t go as far, take a look at your power bill from September 2020, and then again from last month.
