Riddhi seems to have over-powered her young daughter who is not to be seen around the lakes for a month now. Has she been taken down? Or has she moved away to find a new home? Only time will tell.

This may not be a sheer coincidence. May 2023 and May 2026. Arrowhead in Rajbagh hunting a soft-shell turtle and Riddhi doing the same in Padam Talao. Almost identical dates. Turtles are probably basking a lot more now?
Though the photo op I had of her mother in 2023 was perhaps one of the best I have had, we still enjoyed this sighting. For people who may have missed my earlier Tiger Turtle encounter, I have attached a couple of pictures from then.
Over the weekend we just concluded our #Ranthambhore photo tour and as usual it was a delight to be here in the best areas during summer. Riddhi and her boys were the highlight of the trip with T121 and T120 being the other Tigers we met.

For years I have never been on the field without the trustworthy 70-200 2.8. But offlate, I am using the FE 50-150 F2 GM and I think I may not use the 70-200 as much as I would use this lens going forward.
at 50 it's almost a replacement to the 24-70 on safari and at 150 F2 it's
A few Polar Bear images in monotones. Wondering why I'm posting this today! Maybe to celebrate obtaining a 5-year Schengen visa. Now I can run away to the Arctic vanavasa at the drop of a hat. Just need 13000 USD in the bank :)

A few months to go before we indulge in a riot of colors in # CostaRica. While most people associate CR with #Hummingbirds, I think it's one of the best places to photograph a plethora of birds like the Quetzals, Toucans, Macaws and the King Vulture.

The FE 100-400 F4.5 GM OSS SONY lens was announced recently. Today, it made its way to India, and we now have it officially.
Over the last two weeks, I have been testing this lens. Remarkable is an understatement. Will share my insights soon.

In a Tiger country finding a Leopard is not an everyday affair. For me photographing a Leopard in Tadoba for close to 45minutes as it kept walking while my car was reversing to view him walk towards us was not a normal day.

While Tadoba is undoubtedly one of the best places to photograph Tigers regularly, I think it is also one of the reasonably good places to sight and photograph Sloth Bears.

A beautiful young Tiger, an offspring of the famous Collarwali sits like she will take over the throne of the Moharli zone while mum is busy patrolling the periphery of her kingdom.
This is the inquisitive Tiger that tried to attack a Gaur.
Yesterday was remarkable! The gigantic Shambu of #Tadoba welcomed us to his picturesque kingdom and allowed us to watch him soak in the lake and rest the whole day.
Hope you are having a great #Sunday.

This month is my annual Tiger pilgrimage. After 5 days in #Panna I have started batch 1 of the two #Tadoba Photo Tours. But here are some glimpses of Panna's gorgeous Tigers. Both of these are off-springs of P141 and 151.

This was the last sight of a Tiger in #Tadoba for me a few months ago. As we speak, I am back here for a week, and I hope the images we make supersede views like this one.
This Tiger is AKA Collarwali.

The very time I visited Lake Nakuru in #Kenya, I was kicking myself for not allocating enough time. It was a remarkable piece of wilderness with a carpet of flamingos, thriving mammals and birds.
