UCCS appears to be well rested following the holiday break. After picking up a 77-66 road win over Western CO last Friday, they earned their 2nd road win of 2025 thumping CO Christian 84-59 last night.

UCCS had an exceptional night shooting the ball.

Xavier Martinez was nearly perfect as he shot 6 for 7 from the field, including 3 for 4 from behind the arc.

Jezza McKenzie followed Xavier’s lead, as he went 5 of 6 from the field, including 3 for 3 from the 3 point line.

William Becker, however, was not only perfect as he shot 5 for 5 from the field and 2 for 2 from the free thrown line but he also pulled down 8 boards, coming up just 2 rebounds shy of a double double.

Leading the way for UCCS were:
🏀 Xavier Martinez, 17 pts, 4 rebs, & 5 assists;
🏀 Jezza McKenzie, 16 pts, 4 rebs, & 1 assist;
🏀 William Becker, 12 pts, 8 rebs, & 5 assists; &
🏀 Derick Pranger, 10 pts.

UCCS will be tested on Saturday when they play their 1st home game of 2025 against CSU Pueblo.
