there's a split happening in indie hacking right now that nobody's naming.
a. builds first. audience comes after the product.
b: audience first. product comes after the followers.
both call themselves indie hackers. both are right. but they're not playing same game.
exact same thing happened to me when claude rejected to brainstorm with me on a very original thing once.
there's a difference between AI model giving an unhinged opinion and it rejecting to work straight away.
what else are we supposed to use them for?
There's nothing more infuriating than GPT-5.6 or Fable acting "morally superior" and refusing to do the work I assign them.
And it happens often...
GPT-5.6 refusing:
- To create content the way I say.
- To create ad campaigns the way I want.
- To advise or answer some questions.
