Hace algunas semanas les conté que desde @TurismoEc incluimos 3 artículos para atraer inversiones turísticas en la Ley de Generación de Empleo que el Presidente @DanielNoboaOK envío a la Asamblea.

¡Todo se aprobó!

A partir de ahora, las inversiones superiores a $100,000 en el sector turístico (alojamiento, restaurantes, agencias, cafeterías, etc) tendrán exoneración al impuesto a la renta hasta por 7 años. La exoneración empieza a partir del primer año que la inversión genere renta. Con este artículo, Ecuador se convierte en uno de los países de Latinoamérica con mayores incentivos a las inversiones en turismo.

Logramos también que toda la inversión privada en la promoción de nuestro país sean deducibles de impuestos. Esto fomenta que más hoteles, restaurantes, etc. inviertan más en ferias, publicidad, redes sociales, etc. y así, todos podemos sumar esfuerzos para seguir diciéndole al mundo el maravilloso país que tenemos y acelerar nuestra reactivación luego de varios golpes que ha recibido la industria.

Y finalmente:

1) El sector turístico ya no tendrá que hacer retenciones a las comisiones cobradas por las OTAs (Expedía, Booking, etc). Esto representa un ahorro del 25%.

2) Los servicios de alojamiento cobrarán IVA 0% a los extranjeros incluso si las ventas son a través de tour operadores. Este IVA se compensará como crédito tributario.

Esto es excelente para mejorar la competitividad de la industria de turismo en Ecuador y así generar más fuentes de empleo.
