This is an incredible opportunity to help catapult the sport forward across the nation and, more importantly, in the city of Philadelphia.
Support the work of the minnows like myself and the many independent outlets covering the game every day.
At the same time, support the outstanding work that journalists like Kerith (@sprtswtr), Jonathan (@thegoalkeeper), and Owen (@oyounothing) continue to produce for @phillysport.
This is an important moment for the sport.

NYC in a nutshell.
Millions celebrating in a sea of wonderful community. Some people being total assholes and criminals. And the people who make the city actually run such as The New York City Department of Sanitation doing what they do every day.
I think it's the greatest city in the world and always will.
There's a CNY connection to everything. NBA Finals MVP and now Knicks legend Jalen Brunson's dad, Rick, was born and raised in Syracuse. Jalen did live in CNY briefly, attending Lakeshore Elementary (Cicero-North Syracuse district), before his family moved to the Chicago area.
Scotland/Boston crossover is for me guys. This means something to me I literally cannot explain. My dream is to sing Loch Lomond at a Scotland Rugby match but somehow this has become a new dream, Loch Lomond in Gillette.
I feel like the fact that Jalen's dad played for the Knicks in the finals against the Spurs back in 1999 when Jalen was just two years old is legitimately under-appreciated.
What a dope NYC story.
Bill Simmons on Jalen Brunson after he signed with the Knicks:
“He’s not gonna be a ‘Come see Brunson score 38 in a game’ guy”
Jalen Brunson tonight in the championship clinching Game 5 of the NBA Finals: 45 points
This guy would be so happy tonight. Thinking of Al and all the Knicks players and announcers who tried to bring some hope over the years. They finally did it.
Congratulations to the NY Knicks on this long overdue championship drought, entire NYC and all the young and old fans that have been waiting for it….oh and let’s not go too crazy out out here on the streets 🤪
During my lifetime watching NY sports, it’s a short list who have authored legendary individual playoff performances..Reggie Jackson, Eli Manning, Mark Messier, Derek Jeter all come to mind
Jalen Brunson is now forever a member of the fraternity…a NYC sports immortal
