@theandreboso yeh almost certainly that's coming.
Only problem is going to be all those default settings (like in Google Ads), which aren't often that useful will just be pre-programmed
I can see more brands setting campaigns up themselves, then bringing in support to help fix/optimise
Not a great sign that advertisers are dipping their toes into ChatGPT Ads then walking away rather than jumping in for more.
I'm seeing the same on a smaller scale. Everyone is waiting for results to improve - that actually needs to happen pretty soon to keep brands engaged.
Interested to see these ChatGPT Ads that click-to-chat.
It makes sense to continue the conversation in the format the user is already in.
But shifting the conversation more specific to the brands products/services.
I think it's a winner, after a learning curve.
Inject this directly into my veins.
I’ve spent 20+ years helping clients learn how to reach their actual referral potential. The people who claim that things like referrals don’t work, because they “asked” and got rejected have always been the ones who refuse to take the time to put in the work.
The people who put in the work just rake in the opportunities. They’re in unbelievably high demand, because their supply is so low.
Part of so many changes since launching I suppose but it is pretty difficult to know what's working in ChatGPT Ads.
It's clear it's miles off converting compared to Google Ads but it's even hard to know why some ads do better than others, especially the targeting settings.
A lot of this growth has to be experimentation.
I'm really not sure how many advertisers will be seeing ROAS comparable to other channels yet.
Sure some big brands are using it as a mass awareness play.
But to get advertisers to stick, the results are going to need to improve.
Yeh I've discussed this point with clients, definitely not ideal having probably the most desirable part of the audience cut out off the bat.
I've had 3 B2B clients give them a run, 2 paused as v. low conversions, third is continuing to test as conversion numbers ok but cost/conv. is still much higher than their Google Ads.
I'd say perhaps worth a little experimental budget test but wouldn't expect big results.
Hard for me to recommend them tbh based on the data I've seen so far.
However, it's improving all the time and my guess is in 6 months could be a different story as so many features missing (although still won't fix the free only audience ofc).
Interested to hear how it goes if you give it a shot!
@mike_heap_
This trend is continuing, accelerating if anything.
Back-to-back-to-back campaigns lined up.
It's not just the volume of leads, it's the quality. Significant six-figure deals getting done off 4-6 weeks campaigns spending ~$10-15k.
I've been asked to help set up LinkedIn Ads campaigns for more clients in the past 5 months, than in the previous 5 years combined.
And yes they're working. Every one of them is discussing future campaign plans with me too.
Interesting.
Credit where it's due, the ad copy generator in Google Ad is all of a sudden way better.
Don't get me wrong it's coming from a very low base, still hallucinates, and 100% needs reviewing.
But maybe like 40% of the suggestions are pretty decent now with a bit of fine-tuning.
ChatGPT Ads are doing everything in their messaging & updates to be seen as a conversion ads platform.
Yet they just don't convert all that well yet.
Fix the underlying problem and they won't need the messaging, it'll just be obvious.
Will be an epic fumble if they don't.
It's still funny to me how Microsoft Ads just waits for Google to do something, leaves it a few months then adds it.
Not a bad strategy really as often takes that long for Google to find its feet for their new features.
Will test as Bing still slept on for certain industries.
ChatGPT Ads is by far what I'm getting asked most about these days.
Yet it's still by far the worst performers of all ads platforms I run campaigns on.
Wish I could recommend it but the numbers just don't stack up. Yet.
I still think their time is coming but we'll see...
The greatest trick Google ever pulled.
Getting everyone to pay to show for their own brand.
I remember the days when this was unthinkable as part of your ad spend.
If ChatGPT can fix this leak the rewards are incredible, especially for their ads business.
Clicks convert at up 4-5x higher from ChatGPT there's just nowhere near enough of them.
ChatGPT has an attribution problem.
The user speaks to chat about a problem.
They go back & forth to find a solution.
They then search on Google for said solution & enquire/buy/sign-up.
