As I wind down my self-imposed trial of Twitter Blue, I have a few thoughts: The blue checkmark appears to be a trigger for prestige sensitive people. It's not like we're automatically handing out college degrees to people. Perhaps something else should indicate that you're not a robot and have chosen to pay for some extra features. The last thing I want is to trigger someone who has labored for years to earn their beloved checkmark.

Some of the extra features are good, but it would be nice to be able to choose which ones to use like a menu, perhaps. The ability to edit a tweet is good on one hand, but if you edit it, and it's still wrong, it might make you look like an idiot, if you care about that kind of thing. Not sure why it's necessary to show that someone edited a tweet to begin with.

Going way over the original character limit is nice when you feel like rambling and putting someone to sleep. I can't sleep, so maybe it will work for me. Uploading an entire movie might be nice, but Twitter isn't really designed for that.

I haven't really used the feed reader. At times, I've felt like I missed the original simplicity of tweeting and being done with it. Good luck to Elon for making it work, and good night!

@SStricklandMMA Many items are considered luxury by some and necessities by others. Your "necessities" might be brainwashy to me from my vantage point. It's all about expenses man. Richer people tend to have more expenses per month and get trapped there. What are your expenses per month?

@SStricklandMMA Some of us aren't into guns and are amused at checking electronics prices. I can remember thinking it was going to be difficult affording a computer AND a car on a regular basis back in the desktop days. Now buying a gun wouldn't be completely out of the question, but no fetish.

We should make it the same time around the globe. Then Europe can say hey man you haven't REALLY been an early riser for 20 years, and I'd be like why the hell you going to bed at 3 in the afternoon. It would be fun.

@EmiliaDecaudin @JonLemire Permanent DST is worse than permanent standard time and carries health issues. In cities, the sun would rise after 8am. We’ve also tried it before. The country hated it, & we went back.

The bill also bans states from opting out (like Arizona, Puerto Rico, and Guam currently do).

@BobPagesports My friend and I got lost in Detroit in the eighties driving his truck at like age 18. It was wild. No GPS at night, etc. The wave at Tiger stadium in 1984 was phenomenal. Gave me goosebumps in the stands.
