@MrNunesteach Also missing is an opportunity for educators to experience industries outside of the classroom. If we could tour tech companies, construction sites, hospitals, laboratories, etc then we might be able to better align our teaching to meet the needs of the workforce.

@MrNunesteach Sometimes it feels what is missing is teachers that want to learn, that aren't just set in their ways. We ask our students to learn every day, but don't always do so ourselves. PD that gets teachers to love learning again and want to continuously improve.

@Professor_Erik I find myself instantly interested by the "that's not how I learned"... I always have to ask what they remember from about history, science, math, etc and typically the response is "not much", and leaves me wondering if truly learned at all?

Ask any adult what they remember from high school let alone elementary school, and you will find not butch subject knowledge was retained. But the skills to acquire/apply will be forever
