Jesus is the Son of God, which means he shares God’s own nature and is completely one with the Father. The Bible shows this when people call him the Son of God and when God himself says so at Jesus’ baptism and on the mountain. Christians believe Jesus is both fully God and fully human at the same time, which is why his life, death, and rising again are seen as the way God brings people back to himself.
Many people also point to his teachings, miracles, and the way he claimed to forgive sins as signs of his special relationship with God. For those who follow him, knowing Jesus as the Son of God brings hope, forgiveness, and a personal connection with God.
