I think I need a mentor. Like, a life mentor. And I have zero ideas about how to find this person. I suppose a really REALLY great therapist could fill this role, maybe, but the thought of therapist shopping exhausts me. 😝 Not sure that's what I'm looking for, anyway.

@smreine Honestly I think a lot of people treat their pets like furniture, for a variety of reasons (lack of time, interest, understanding, whatever), and dogs especially don't tend to thrive when they get so little activity, stimulation, and/or (positive) attention.
