@Mazi_Ifenna A written address no matter how well drafted can not take the place of Evidence adduced in court. A good case is in the quality of the material evidence and witness, it has little to do with written Address
@Oluwanonso_Esq This is not true, except you chose to overlook it as a lawyer on the other side. I have seen where a camera man was properly drilled in cross examination on the basis of the certificate of compliance for pictures he took
@babidoofficial You are correct on this, the grounds of Appeal are independent, they stand on their own and failure of one ground of Appeal will not mean failure for other grounds of Appeal.
@Eneegmanuelllll That is why pre-action counseling is a thing in many jurisdictions now, it is your duty as a lawyer to advise your client on the strength or otherwise of his/her case.
It’s not every matter that must be brought to court, some cases don’t just worth it.
@prince_oludada@Eneegmanuelllll Some arguments are just same as flogging a dead horse, it makes no difference
We see this play out in court almost everyday
@SonOfTheMoment There’s exception to this rule, trial may be conducted in absentia under certain circumstances, but sentencing must be in the presence of the Defendant

@dan_jay9 @itoashe I had this thought too when I resumed in Lagos then, but after the first week I started appreciating the entire process
If it’s possible for you, read every topic before attending the class the next day, follow the lectures attentively, it’s worth it
@dan_jay9 @itoashe Plus, there will be Externship before you know it, it’s also an opportunity to ease up before returning for the last lap
When you see your results at the end of it all, you will know you didn’t waste your time and it was not a punishment after all
@dan_jay9 @itoashe The entire law school program is barely 10 months put together, there’s nothing too big in locking in to achieve the best you can
There will definitely be “had I known” for those who will while away their time.
