Interesting post, because one of my very best friends from school literally is the head of the department for cancer research for Cornell and literally travels around the country currently as we speak doing clinical trials and researching every single day. More than 20 people were injured and at least two were killed in a tragic shooting incident at Annunciation Catholic Church and its school, located in the southeast neighborhood of Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, during a morning school Mass.
Among the injured, at least 14 people were confirmed to have been struck by gunfire, with four in critical condition who were transferred to nearby hospitals.
The suspect, a man wearing all-black clothing and armed with a rifle, remains at large, with concerns about a possible explosive device in the building.
Local security forces responded, with the Minneapolis police, Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, State Patrol, and the FBI taking action, activating a mass casualty response.
Nearby areas were evacuated, and residents were asked to avoid the area.
Governor Tim Walz described the incident as a "horrific act of violence" and pledged to provide updates.
The situation remains unclear, and the suspect's motive has not yet been revealed.
