Today is the anniversary of the most incredible feat in Pgh sports history: @MarioLemieuxFdn scoring 5 goals, 5 ways in 1988. If you disagree, you’re wrong. Also NHL’s #1 moment ever.
Big Ben and Pat McAfee on the Roberto Clemente Wall:
Ben : “You get Roberto Clemente and you have a wall It’s his wall and you take that down to make money. What are we doing.”
Pat: “these motherf*ckers.” 😂😂

Sidney Crosby registered his 105th multi-goal game for the @Penguins, which rank second among active players behind Alex Ovechkin (178).
#NHLStats: https://t.co/eCfCkKFjdt
Sidney Crosby age 37, sits at 65 points in 61 games. 17th in the league and the only player over age 31 in the top 20 in points.
If you watched the Penguins as a whole this season, then you’d know how unbelievable that is.
On this day in 2007, NHL leading scorer Sidney Crosby hits 80 points (82) in 47 games….at 19 years old.
For perspective: Nathan MacKinnon leads the NHL in scoring today with 79 points in 53 games. He’s gonna be 30 this year.
All I know is the Penguins traded for a guy named Phil who plays right wing and wasn’t liked by his previous coach.
It’s a foolproof plan if you ask me.
Sidney Crosby is a pass-first playmaker, and one of the best in history. He missed more than 100 games in his prime to a concussion. And he still has 600 goals and counting. He lived up to all the hype, and he received more hype than anyone in hockey history.
He does the deliveries still. 20 years later every year. Same hair same charm same car same guy same contract. Just a blessing to the Penguins and the Sidy of Pittsburgh.
Things I’ll never take for granted:
Being able to watch Lemieux, as a kid, on a bi-nightly basis if I wanted to.
Being able to watch Crosby, as an adult, on a bi-nightly basis if I wanted to.
The people of Pittsburgh have been so fortunate 🖤
