Appalled to see some of the British press' reports on this @Xavier_Bettel gave an impressive, impassioned & honest speech, which I heard live, following @BorisJohnson's decision to cancel an event, for which many travelled to Lux, due to a small group of mostly British protesters
Friendly, honest, constructive talks with @BorisJohnson today. Luxembourg will remain the UK’s partner & friend, also after Brexit. We all want a deal. Some conditions need to be met: ensure the integrity of the Single Market and avoid a hard border on the isle of Ireland.
@Xavier_Bettel@BorisJohnson@gouv_lu You gave an excellent speech yesterday, Mr Bettel. Full of passion and nothing but the truth. You are a true friend of the British and Irish people who want to escape this car crash. Villmools merci!
Whilst @BorisJohnson ran away from protesters today, Luxembourg's @Xavier_Bettel gave an impassioned speech which higlighted the importance of the Good Friday Agreement and expressed solidarity with the whole island of Ireland in the context of #Brexit

This normal looking photo is an historic first: the gay prime minister of Luxembourg and his husband meeting with the lesbian prime minister of Serbia and her girlfriend.
Progress often seems far too slow. But it’s real, and it’s worth celebrating 🌈
It’s #LoveQUBGrad day for @ModLangs_QUB students. Many congratulations to every single one of you across all language areas on your achievements. We look forward to celebrating with you this afternoon!
