🚨 BREAKING: The labor market just looked weaker than advertised.

The U.S. added only 57,000 jobs in June, far below economists' expectations of about 113,000.

It gets worse: May's job gains were revised down to 129,000, meaning hiring was already slowing before today's report.

The unemployment rate unexpectedly dipped from 4.3% to 4.2%, showing employers are still holding onto workers even as hiring loses steam.

Bottom line: hiring is cooling much faster than expected. One month isn't a trend, but two weaker reports in a row raise real questions about where the economy is headed.
