@BaronDestructo Hey, we have something in common. Amazon did a novel writing contest many years ago, and I submitted mine, so we've both had our writing rejected by Amazon. Not that I'm anywhere near your level, but it's still a moment for me to laugh so I don't cry.
@JustineBateman I donโt think most fans wanted anything but more adventures in the same universe, storylines concluded, and maybe a cameo from fan favorites. Not sure what we're going to actually get.
@JustineBateman Amazon was going to have a new Stargate series, helmed by writers from the original show, and was explicitly not a reboot. They got to pre-production, and canceled it. After months of fan letters, they did a hasty new writer search... and we may end up with an unwanted reboot.
So, Amazon is looking for a new writer for Stargate?
I know a bunch of writers who'd be perfect for the job.
Either that, or I can turn my SGA continuation into a script and see if they go for it. :/
Seriously, Amazon. #SaveGerosStargate
@terylrothery not sure if you'll see this, but you were absolutely right. I'm the person from DragonCon who lost two pages in the room- the pages are found, and I thank you for being so kind.
@TheClaudiaBlack not sure if you'll see this, but im the person at DragonCon who lost script pages just before I came to your table. I just wanted to let you and the lovely people with you know that the pages were found. Thank you all for helping me. :)
@JustineBateman Then announced a reboot series of an ip that has failed the reboot attempt more than once, and doesn't have as big a following. The studio also engagement farms with open ended questions on their SM guaranteed to troll the fans of that canceled new series. They are all baked.
@JustineBateman They canceled on an ip that has a built-in fan base, after developing a continuation to the three series (some with unsatisfactory ends) with some of the original writers and producers who still have stories to tell, original series actors interested in at least cameos.
