Hot take: I’m a little tired of the disappointing responses I get when I tell people my baby is in daycare starting at 12 weeks. I already have my guilt but it is definitely exacerbated by these responses. But he’s thriving and doing much more socializing and learning

On Thank a Resident Day, here are a few things you may not know:

1. Residents work 60-80+ hours/week & make around $12-18 per hour. They get no extra pay for extra (residency) shifts.

2. They often work 28 hours straight & can be sleep deprived for much longer on “home call.”
