Where will the remaining prophets take us before the Savior returns?

In the words of President Holland:

“When I think about recent developments in the Lord’s kingdom, it seems obvious that God is taking us on a soul-stirring journey with hills and vales and vistas so stunning we can scarcely imagine them until we climb a little higher and there they are before us.”

And then from President Nelson—

“If you think the Church has been fully restored, you’re just seeing the beginning. There is MUCH more to come. Wait till next year, and then the next year. Eat your vitamin pills. Get some rest. It’s going to be exciting!”

What an incredible journey we are on!! What an exciting time to be alive.

President Dallin H. Oaks delivered a landmark address on religious freedom Wednesday at Washington National Cathedral, pointing to the United States Constitution as a key tool for peacemaking and finding common ground.

“The Constitution compels a divided people to build coalitions to allow them to act together,” said President @OaksDallinH, who has spent seven decades studying the Constitution as a scholar, jurist and religious leader. “‘Compels’ is a strong word, but it is exactly what the Constitution does. It puts what we now call ‘peacemaking’ at the heart of the Constitution’s process for achieving freedom and unity, and fairness for all.”

His remarks are the first by a Church President at Washington National Cathedral, a “house of prayer for all people,” and came on the eve of the country’s Constitution Day. The event, titled “Faith, Freedom and the Common Good,” explored the relationship between religious faith and American democracy. The gathering was part of the cathedral’s “A Better Way” series, which encourages Americans to find common ground and move forward together in polarized times.

President Oaks said he was participating in the effort to help “embody the love of God in public life,” offering “hope for unity and a moral framework to move forward in a divided world.”

Evangelical: Mormonism is false. Joseph Smith was deceived by a demon.

LDS: What was the demon trying to accomplish?

Evangelical: Lead people away from Jesus.

LDS: By creating a religion that tells people to worship Jesus?

Evangelical: A false Jesus.

LDS: Okay, but think through the strategy.

The Book of Mormon repeatedly teaches:

Believe in Christ.
Repent.
Pray.
Keep God’s commandments.
Be baptized in Christ’s name.
Receive the Holy Ghost.
Come unto Christ.

It says:

“We talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ.”

And:

“There shall be no other name given… whereby salvation can come… only in and through the name of Christ.”

That’s the demonic plan?

Evangelical: Satan can use truth to deceive people. He appears as an angel of light.

LDS: Sure, but that doesn’t automatically prove every angelic claim is Satanic.

Jesus gave us another principle:

“Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation.”

And:

“If Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?”
—Matthew 12:25–26

So your theory is:

Satan wants people to reject Christ…

therefore he creates a book centered on Christ.

Satan wants people to remain in sin…

therefore it repeatedly commands repentance.

Satan wants people separated from God…

therefore it teaches constant prayer.

Satan wants people to ignore Christ…

therefore its central invitation is:

COME UNTO CHRIST.

Evangelical: But deception works best when mixed with truth.

LDS: Then your theory can explain literally anything.

If a religion teaches evil: Satan.

If it teaches good: Satan is being clever.

If it rejects Jesus: Satan.

If it preaches Jesus: also Satan.

That isn’t evidence. It’s an unfalsifiable accusation.

Evangelical: So Mormonism must be true because it talks about Jesus?

LDS: No.

You can argue that our understanding of Christ is wrong. You can argue about scripture, authority, grace, priesthood, ordinances, or the nature of God.

Those are actual arguments.

But saying “a demon created Mormonism to lead people away from Jesus” gets pretty strange when this supposedly demonic religion spends its time telling millions of people:

Believe in Jesus Christ.
Repent.
Follow Him.
Serve Him.
And come unto Him.

If that’s Satan’s grand strategy, I have some questions about the strategy.

WHAT IF?

IF there was a church on Earth proclaiming to be the true church of Christ on Earth.

IF that church proclaimed the heavens are open and God is speaking to man again.

IF that church invited you to come and see, to come and read the revelations given to the world by Christ.

IF that church claimed the priesthood was restored with all the power and authority to administer the sacraments and ordinances of faith.

IF that restored church taught that the center purpose of God’s plan was for eternal marriage and family relationships & invites you to receive sealing ordinances bound on Earth and in Heaven.

IF the testimony of the ordained prophets and apostles promised that covenant relationship extended through priesthood power within this true and living church would bring you closer to Christ than ANY other church; and that the power of this connection to Christ would completely transform your life and provide great joy to you in this life and the next.

WHAT IF IT WERE TRUE?

What would you be willing to do to find the answer to that question?

What would you sacrifice to come to know for yourself if that church’s truth claims are indeed the truth?

IF IT IS TRUE?

IF you received a powerful witness from the Holy Spirit of the truth of these claims — through intent seeking, fervent prayer, through taste of the fruit, through application?

WHAT IF YOU BELIEVED?

What would you give up to bind yourself to Christ church through baptism and faithful covenant keeping?

What voices of mocking would you be willing to ignore? What worldly ways would you be willing to walk away from?

What is it worth, that pearl of great price?

Don’t delay!!

There is such a church!!

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has reached a new record of 88,500 full-time missionaries serving worldwide. The new historic total surpasses the previous high of 88,000, set in 2014. Church leaders attribute the surge to the first wave of 18-year-old sister missionaries entering the field. The missionary force is comprised of teaching and service missionaries and senior missionaries. The milestone also comes as the Church opened 55 new missions on July 1.

Speaking of missionaries, a new mural at the Provo Missionary Training Center recognizes the Church’s first single sister missionaries and inspires current missionaries. The first single sister missionaries — Inez Knight and Jennie Brimhall — reached England in 1898, with the new mural depicting their service. Walking past it at the MTC includes those who are making history as the new wave of sister missionaries going out at age 18.

The Church recently released site locations for three temples in South America — Medellín, Colombia; Goiânia, Brazil; and Campo Grande, Brazil. The Church has also released a rendering of the new Spanish Fork Utah Temple. It was the last of the 15 temples announced in April 2025 by President Russell M. Nelson in his final general conference address.

After becoming the first baptized member of the Church in the Democratic Republic of the Congo 40 years ago, President Junior Banza is returning to the country as a mission president of the Democratic Republic of the Congo Kinshasa North Mission. President Banza was baptized in 1986 — at 14-years-old — after the Church was officially recognized by the country.

He says of returning to the DR Congo: “The Lord has given me a front-row seat to His biggest miracle.” Inside a refugee camp in Kenya, a new branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is growing in numbers. What started out as just six members, the branch has grown to over 100 in a year. Most people came to the camp after fleeing conflict or insecurity in their countries. And they now meet each Sunday to worship and find strength in Jesus Christ together.

Plant The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in any country on earth and pretty much the same results will occur. It will produce deeply moral individuals who serve a religious vision centered upon achievement in this life.

They will aggressively pursue the most advanced education possible, understand their lives in terms of overcoming obstacles, and eagerly serve the surrounding society.

The family will be of supernatural importance to them, as will planning and investing for future generations.

They will be devoted to community, store and save as a hedge against future hardship, and they will esteem work as a religious calling.

They will submit to civil government and hope to take positions within it. They will have advantages in this.

When you ask God for guidance about decisions in your life—including some important decisions—He may not give you a detailed answer.

The truth is that sometimes it doesn’t matter to the Lord what you decide as long as you stay within the fundamental covenants and principles of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.

There are times when God has a specific path He wants you to follow. There are also times when He will warn you against certain choices because of dangers you can’t foresee. But then there are times when a question has multiple “right” answers, and you can find joy in any of them as long as you live by God’s eternal truths.

You may not see it until much later, but you will look back and know that the Lord never abandoned you, even when He let you make some decisions for yourself. You will see that the dots do connect.
