@CJT2013 I have traded on and off for years and this is pressing the pause button on a lifelong dream for me that was just inches away from my grasp. I guess we will see what the future holds.

@CJT2013 We got pregnant last summer and are due at the end of the month. The extra pressure had a negative effect on trading combined with changes in the market this year. Since she is taking a 3 month leave from work to be with the baby we will need another reliable income source.

@CJT2013 I did not have enough time to solidify my strategy and become consistent before needing the income. When I left my previous job to take on trading full time, I had no need to make money since my wife also works and we co-own a business. 1/2

@Switterman I appreciate you taking the extra time here, this is something I've been wrestling with as I learn to trade large caps. I just traded the AMD double top off the 128 level based on an alert I set for the setup. Not a "Scott" sized move but my plan came to fruition with low risk!

@Switterman Also interesting and makes sense because I watch so closely that I notice many times the AMD move will front-run the Index move by half a second. I could be reading too much into it.

@Switterman That is really interesting. This may not be the case everywhere but I do trade AMD a lot and I notice it's chart mirrors QQQ most days. I usually take QQQ into account but lately I have been feeling like it's not needed even though its highly correlated most days.
