Sonny Gray and his family have decided that he will pitch next year, and he is open to returning to the Red Sox as a free agent, according to @alexspeier.
Sonny Gray on his decision to keep pitching in 2027, via @alexspeier:
“My family and I have talked about it and it’s an easy decision… I still want to win a World Series, whether that is [with] Boston or with whoever wants me.”
Great effort by Jeff Hafley and the Miami Dolphins today. $180M in dead cap, bunch of rookies playing, and they fought the Vikings (in their house) until the end.
Jacob Rodriguez is a STUD. 18 tackles today.
Kadyn Proctor is a monster out there.
Zach Seiler was a menace today with two sacks.
Chop Robinson had his best game of the season.
Defense didn’t allow a touchdown today.
Ollie Gordon II was sensational.
Hoping we get Kenneth Grant back very soon.
Little delayed in posting this cause I’m still working through complicated feelings about everything that just happened, but I just wanted to sincerely thank everyone who followed along with my account here or listened to @PlayTessie or even once this year.
It’s never lost on me that so many people either trust me as the guy to keep them in the know with the Red Sox, or care about my opinions on the team, or both. I appreciate everyone for that.
There’s a lotta nonsense on this app and people aren’t gonna agree on anything, ever. But we’re all a part of this community together because we all want the same thing; for the Sox to win. It’s too bad we didn’t see that this postseason.
The games stop and that’s always tough to accept, but Sox twitter never dies (for better or for worse). Enjoy this pic of me failing to dap up Wally.

As Sonny Gray said last night, “I got a lot of baseball left in me.” Just want to share some appreciation to #RedSoxNation for showing love towards me while watching, listening, and sometimes even critiquing. I have an internal desire to bring the best to what I do every single day, but you all give me the fuel to ignite that fire day in and day out over the course of this marathon of a season. We spend some of our spring, all summer, and a little bit of fall together. You make me strive to be great because that is the expectation. I’m just grateful to have this job and for all that it has allowed me to see and do since I arrived in Boston. We’re onto 2027…we think 😉
Big thanks to everyone that watched and listened to us this season on @NESN and @SoxBooth. I feel so grateful to get to do this for a living. Talk to you all, hopefully, sooner than later.
Now we wait until that first spring training game again… and who knows when that will be… always feels like such a shock when the season ends after it consumes your life for 7 months.
