While everyone lectures Israel about borders and sovereignty, Turkish soldiers are reportedly blocking Kurdish villagers inside Iraq from returning to their own homes.
This is not in Turkey.
This is in Duhok, Iraqi Kurdistan.
The Middle East is full of foreign armies, militias, terror groups, proxy forces, failed states, and displaced civilians.
But the world’s obsession remains Israel.

Baghdad, 85 years ago, June 1 and 2, 1941, frenzied rioters descended upon the homes of the Jews of Baghdad, beating them, killing and wounding them.
In those dreadful hours, 179 Jews were slaughtered: women, children, the elderly, and men, for one reason alone: they were Jews.
My great grandmother, a fierce #Kurdish
woman who managed to recuse two young Jewish women who were frightened by the Arab mobs.

The oldest Jewish diaspora community: Kurdish Jews. Exiled to modern-day Kurdistan in the 8th century BC—as recorded in the Old Testament and Assyrian archives—many eventually returned to Israel. This footage shows Kurdish Jews in Israel preserving their traditional songs and dances, performed in Kurdish.

The term “Kurdish Jew” is historical and well documented in historical records. Even around 500 years ago, some Kurdish Jews carried the nisba “al-Kurdi” (“the Kurd”) as part of their names, as seen in Cairo Geniza documents.

Report: Israel established a secret base in Iraq ahead of the war with Iran.

In an effort to shorten the route to Iran, Israel reportedly set up a covert outpost in the Iraqi desert that served as a “logistics hub” and a base for Israeli Air Force units.

Today is the #Holocaust Remembrance Day in where 6 millions Jews were killed by the Nazis because they were Jews.

Today also is the Remembrance Day for the #AnfalGenocide victims, 38 years ago more than 182,000 #Kurds were killed by the Fascist Arab forces of the late dictator Saddam Hussein.

Both the Jews and the Kurds had committed no crime other than their refusal to stop being Jews or Kurds.

Six million Jews and 182,000 Kurds are not just numbers - They were children, families, young men and women, elderly people, who hatred annihilated them and their dreams. Amen, they are all resting in eternal peace and harmony 🙏
