@KirstyM_Art@BBCSSO@BBCRadio3 I thought it was you! It was so, so good. I know the singers and chorus get the attention, and they were brilliant. But the orchestra played beautifully. Ear splitting, then so delicate and tender. I liked that you could hear the silence! I loved it! All the Tio's for Edinburgh.
As excited for a Requiem as anyone should be! Verdi's is a good one and should be with the @BBCSSO, some stunning soloists and the Edinburgh festival chorus. It's also live on @BBCRadio3.
What an amazing achievement, to everyone for producing such an amazing performance of the monumental requiem by Verdi. Massive bravo to the @BBCSSO, the Edinburgh festival chorus. The four amazing soloists...(they were all fantastic!). It could not have been better!
@seanstshibe This is actually good news. Sometimes I miss Record Review and fell guilty about it. Now I will no longer feel guilt when I never hear this!
@rowenamezzo It's the beginning of turning @BBCRadio3 into a ClassicFM, Radio2 hybrid. During the day no whole works over 10mins till 7:30pm. Bring in some old pop stars and news readers at the expense of others. Obviously glad COTW, though the night, choral, W&M etc are staying.
