Believe it or not, how relevant & active a team is on social media can be a HUGE factor when athletes are deciding where to go high school/college
It’s as simple as creating an account for your team & posting on it routinely (or hiring someone to do it for you 😉)
A lot of times, social media accounts can be graded A-F. Knowing what to post & when to post it, understanding the algorithm & knowing what’s trending vs what isn’t are all important factors
The more professional your team’s social media account looks, the better. Gameday graphics, reels, birthday posts, starting lineup graphics, videos that get the athletes involved. The list goes on and on
And no, I’m not just saying this because I do sports content creation. I’m saying this because it’s facts. The more teams realize this, more kids will want to come play for their programs
