@BradyBGWX Yeah Cory (the accordion player) claims 50" in Cumberland, however the highest official report in RI was 38" in Woonsocket and 39" in Norton. I dont doubt there would have been some 40+ reports if the storm happened today. But i went with whats available for official reports.
@BradyBGWX Yeah unfortunately those early first gen NESIS maps are pretty far off in the placement of reports and very coarse. For example that 36" report looks like its almost in Worcester but that's Walpole COOP in Norfolk county. I bet a lot of these popular maps are based off that too.
@BradyBGWX 1992? nah i was a child, i barely remember any storm before 2000 except some distant/fuzzy memories of 96. No radar before 1995 unfortunately. That was when the WSR-88D radar went live and starting getting archived. You won't find any hi-res stuff before then.
