Outfield prospect Luis Lara and the Milwaukee Brewers are in agreement on a seven-year, $31 million contract extension that includes three club options, sources tell ESPN. Lara, 21, has dominated Triple-A this season. Deal maxes out at $79 million.
I love this shit. How can you not love a kid that’s dotting 104, is in a dog fight for the ERA title while already having a sub-two and is willing to tell the reigning back-to-back NL Manager of the Year that this is his game. Absolute DOG.

Packers’ standout edge rusher Micah Parsons said he will not return from his torn ACL injury until at least mid-October.

The best pitching in the NL this season has been utterly ridiculous:
Shohei Ohtani: 0.82 ERA, .447 OPS against
Cristopher Sánchez: 1.47 ERA, 44.2 IP scoreless streak
Jacob Misiorowski: 1.83 ERA, 100 K in 64 IP
Chris Sale: 1.89 ERA, 38% chase
Chase Burns: 1.96 ERA, 34% whiff
How do the Brewers do this every year? They do it every single year. 7 guys you’ve never heard of, a fat first basemen, Christian Yelich, and the best rotation you’ve ever seen in the history of baseball. I’m sick of it!!!!!!!
"When you look at the pitching, it's otherworldly. He is the hardest pitcher to hit in all of Major League Baseball."
@JeffPassan dives into Jacob Misiorowski's success this season 👏
