@bedford_boys_kr Fantastic work! They were specifically labeled ROKA but everybody at the time seems to have called them “J-Rations” for Japan because they manufactured them 😭.

@bedford_boys_kr Thank you. I think the 9th division is an interesting case. The regimental insignia seems to have been removed from the left side by late 1952 but photos of the 28th Regiment’s medical company during Hill 395 seem to show “Goblins” on the rear of some helmets.

대한민국 육군 제18연대 '백골부대' 철모 (1951년 이후형)

1951년에 상급부대인 제3사단 문양이 제정되자 철모 우측엔 사단 문양, 좌측엔 연대 문양을 그렸습니다. 철모에 연대급 상징을 그려넣는 것은 육군 표지규정(1954)이 정비됨에 따라 사라진 듯합니다.
