The OIG recommended Mayor Brandon Johnson take a “comprehensive, whole-of-government approach” to respond to cops with explicit links to far-right groups. Despite vague platitudes, Johnson didn’t commit to acting on any of OIG’s recommendations—or any specific action at all.
