Parkinson’s Law states: Work expands to fill the time allocated for its completion. Especially with Black folks.
If you give them a month to do a few days job, they’ll take a month.

#LetFreedomSing Beware of "Good" Toxic People by Brian Tamuka Kagoro
Some people walk like saints in daylight
but scheme like hyenas at dusk. They thrive in shadows, feed on whispers, and rely on gullible minds to carry their poison. But shine a single honest light, lay down a few stubborn facts,
and suddenly, their well‑crafted lies collapse
like a termite mound in the rain. You can demonise a person to strangers, but once people have lived, worked, and struggled with someone, they learn to separate fiction from fingerprints. If you want peace,
banish the shadows in your organisation —
for darkness is where cowards rehearse their courage.
Remember this:Brilliance does not equal goodness. Some of the loudest preachers of transparency” are simply trying to drown out the sound of their own corruption, nepotism, favouritism, and bias.
There is always a measurable distance
between what people say and who they are.
I judge team members by one simple metric:
How much credit they grab when things go right,
and how much responsibility they should shoulder when things fall apart. That ratio never lies.
You can drown a butcher, a thief, a liar, or an incompetent soul in oceans of PR perfume —
but once people have worked with them,
no fragrance can mask the stench of their character.
Toxic people are masters of victimhood theatre.
In their script, everyone is against them,
everyone is jealous, everyone is corrupt —
except them. They alone are hardworking, honest, loyal, transparent, and apparently responsible for every success since creation. It took me years in leadership to learn this truth:
People often accuse others of the very things
they themselves are doing.
-They deflect.
-They project.
-They reflect their own rot onto others
and hope no one notices the smell.
Two African Proverbs come to mind :
“When there is no enemy within, the enemies outside can not harm you.”
“The one who hides a sickness can not expect a cure.”
My friends, no one can - after starting a big fire - manage to hide the smoke !
It is the rich people in Europe that eat fresh farm foods like the poor people in Africa,
While it is the poor people in Europe that eat junk food like the "rich" people in Africa
