@balzacablh@JuvingBrunet Je me permet de signifier mon désaccord.
@SawtelleAn5682 You are clear now, but you said "We apply these principles of objective ethics using subjective morals today, and they work."
How can there be objective ethics if moral is subjective?
And morality being natural or not is not estrange to God's design, provided He exists
@SawtelleAn5682 As you wish, but it seemed you were objecting moral's objectivity. As for objective moral = God, that's a whole chapter, of the "Intelligent design" register
@SawtelleAn5682 And the peak of morality is the extended golden rule: "Do to other what you want other to do for you". By human sensitivity to natural law, you get most of evil out and good done abiding by that rule
@SawtelleAn5682 I believe as the meme you commented. But for one who believes not, yes, I would say morality does not stem from human decision, but naturally, and man but discern it and give its approbation.
@SawtelleAn5682 Initially that moral is not subjective, or that at least there's a consensus from all mankind on some moral matter, independantly of culture, which can support the existence of a natural morality
@SawtelleAn5682 Yeah, basically objective means it is independant from a subject, while subjective means dependant of a subject, usually human mind or perception. They're akin to reality vs perception
@SawtelleAn5682 So, moral is objective since based upon objective rules and empircal data, not solely on human appreciation?
And the subjective part is but a lack of understanding of the objective morality?
@Jvnior So you believe in Deborah, Judge of Israel and Prohetess of the Lord, along with Mary, daughter of Amran and sister of Aaron, who also was a prophetess?
